Dear Visitor,

As Pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, I would like to welcome you to this website. Our Roman Catholic Parish has been here in Coal City, Illinois since 1892 and is still a faithful and thriving community of believers, dedicated to serving Almighty God in every way possible according to the traditions and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. We are especially proud of the fact that our parish is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, Jesus' Mother and our Mother as well.

If you are interested in becoming a member of our parish, or if you would like to inquire about the Catholic Faith, please call us at (815) 634-4171. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit come upon you and remain with you now and always.

Sincerely, Father Robert Noesen

When we show our gratitude to God by sharing our talents and resources, we multiply them throughout our parish and community. Christ's miracle of the loaves and fishes occurs again and again and again whenever we give freely of ourselves to others. Just as in the parable, we will find ourselves fulfilled, less empty than we have ever been.
